Is It Legal?

That's the big question we get. Answer, yes, it is 100% legal.

“When the user downloads even part of a file — called pseudo-streaming — it counts as a copy of copyrighted material, which is illegal. And when the user streams content as a public performance — namely, when it’s shown to a substantial number of people outside the normal family circle and its close acquaintances — it also constitutes a copyright violation. Outside of these cases, accessing unlicensed streamed content is generally legal.”

It is legal because you are not downloading the content, you are streaming it. Meaning there is never a large portion of the content stored on your device, and we at bandStream do not host or supply any files or links.

bandStream provides linux and other OS based TV boxes that all the viewer to access the internet and third party applications and sources that acts as a directory of media posted by others on the internet. We do not screen, monitor or log any of the activity or media of the users of the service or providers. If you are the copyright owner of any of the media that displays on the bandStream device you or your agent can email us with your complete information. All claims must include your Name or business entity, address, city, state, zip code, identification of the copyright media your claim pertains to, and the URL(s) of the sites where the media is located and any other informattion which would allow us to disable or remove access from the bandStream device.

bandStream, its affiliates or its resellers do not host, sell or store any media or media streams and are not responsilbe for any misuse, illegal or questionable activites, its users, or others may perform with the bandStream device.
